Joo Won was born on September 30, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. He graduated from Kaywon High School of Arts and then attended Sungkyunkwan University, where he majored in theater and film.
Joo Won began his acting career in 2006, when he appeared in the television drama “Bad Family.” He has since starred in a number of popular films and television dramas, including “Good Doctor,” “Punch,” and “My Sassy Girl.”
In 2017, Joo Won enlisted in the military to fulfill his mandatory military service. He was discharged in 2019.
